Justice won't be served
Not in a single place on this fucking earth
Stuck at the bottom since birth
What's freedom really fucking worth?
City officials have turned to destruction
Judicial systems run off corruption
Breeding hate for the lower class
No escape from this crime ridden path
They lock us in cages while they line up their pockets
Lock up my people, for personal profits
Mainstream media is plaguing our minds
Spreading ignorance, Killing my kind
You can't trust this
There's no justice
Freedom's worthless
If you're life aint worth a shit
The police aren't out to serve and protect
They don't deserve an ounce of respect
Fuckin the system with privatized prisons
Raping the poor is this country's tradition
(Jake’s solo)
You can't trust this
There's no justice
Freedoms worthless
If you're life aint worth a shit
Injustice
I pen my destiny within this penitentiary
Righting all my wrongs to show the world what’s left of me
Remnants and scars, no fucking empathy
Behind cold bars, self destructive recipe
No need for felonies when you’re locked up mentally
Tendencies for living helplessly is what it’s meant to be
And there’s still no justice
And you still can’t trust this
I didn't know about this band for a very long time. That is a tragedy. This record absolutely crushes, combining technicality, melody and pure knuckle dragging belligerence. It's executed flawlessly.
The lyrics are great. The riffs are great. The leads are great. The vocals are great. Lots of hooks everywhere.
Ten years too late this was my album of the year.
A Metal Archives dig led me to Enemy Mind, who also rule. Psyched about these outstanding Pittsburgh bands. Matt Medeiros
